The person who drove the car that hit and killed a woman who was stopped on the Bruckner Expressway in the Bronx early Sunday morning is being sought by police. The woman, who was 32 years old, was hit by an unknown vehicle that didn’t stop as she stood outside her car near Exit 51 of the Bruckner Expressway.
The accident happened just before 1:20 a.m., and police say the woman was thrown from the elevated Bruckner Expressway to Bronx River Avenue below.

The person was taken to Jacobi Medical Center but was later declared dead there. Police found that the victim had been in an accident with another car before she got out of her car to look into what happened and was hit by the unknown car.
